A 15-year-old ninth-grade student died by suicide after classmates bullied her about her weight and appearance, and a group of peers harassed her regularly. On October 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM, Lieutenant Manit Sirawet, Deputy Inspector of Satuek Police Station in Buriram Province, received a report of a child's death at a house in Moo 7, Sanam Chai Subdistrict, Satuek District. He responded with the Wang Krud Satuek rescue team and an on-duty doctor from Satuek Hospital. The incident occurred in a downstairs room where they found Miss A (pseudonym), aged 15, dead from suicide. Preliminary examination found no signs of physical assault; she had been dead for about three hours. The victim's grandmother said the household consisted of three people: the victim's father, the victim, and her younger brother. The mother had separated from the father many years earlier. Miss A was a ninth-grade student at a school in the district. Over the past two to three months, the granddaughter often confided that classmates mocked her appearance and bullied her because she weighed over 80 kilograms and had acne. She was also regularly harassed by a group of classmates. The grandmother believes this affected the girl's mental state and led to her suicide.
