Srisaket Manager Slams Influencer Over Unauthorized Fight Announcement
Boxing manager Sia Hui denied that a retro fight between former champions Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Amnat Ruenroeng was ever agreed upon, contradicting influencer Johnny Mueprab's announcement. Sia Hui criticized Johnny for bypassing proper negotiation channels and confirmed Srisaket remains focused on pursuing a world title instead.
Sia Hui, manager of "Jao Laem" Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, pushed back against Johnny Mueprab, stating anyone entering boxing should observe proper etiquette. He revealed the proposed fight between Srisaket and Amnat Ruenroeng will not materialize.
The dispute stems from influencer and police lieutenant Yutthaphon Srisonphong, known as Johnny Mueprab, posting that he had arranged a six-round retro match under international rules between former IBF 112-lb champion Amnat Ruenroeng and former WBC 115-lb champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. The bout was slated as a featured fight for the grand opening of Johnny's new stadium in Ubon Ratchathani this December. Johnny claimed he had successfully negotiated with Srisaket on the evening of October 23.
However, on October 24, Sia Hui Surachat Phisitwuthinan told Khaosod's sports team he had never been informed of the plan and Johnny had never approached them directly. He urged Johnny to respect boxing protocols and follow correct procedures rather than chasing hype. "As of now, the Srisaket versus Amnat fight will absolutely not happen because Srisaket has a clear goal. He has been fighting continuously, not resting, winning his last two bouts, and his target is a world championship belt," Sia Hui stated.
