Woman Fights Off Neighbor Rapist Who Flees Leaving Boxers Behind
A 52-year-old woman in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, fought off a neighbor who broke into her home and attempted to rape her at 3 a.m. on October 18. She identified the attacker using light from her iPad, causing him to flee in panic — mistakenly wearing her shorts and leaving his boxer shorts as evidence. The suspect remains at large, prompting the victim to seek help from the Pavena Foundation, which is now coordinating with police to pursue the case.
At 4:00 p.m. on October 21, 2026, at the Pavena Foundation for Children and Women in Khlong Chedi, Lam Luk Ka, Pathum Thani, a daughter brought her 52-year-old mother from Samut Prakan to file a complaint with 'Pavena,' bringing the perpetrator's underwear as evidence. She reported that the suspect fled wearing the wrong pants — putting on the victim's short pajama bottoms while escaping — and left his own boxer shorts as evidence. The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on October 18 when the perpetrator pried open a window and attempted to rape the mother while she slept. The attacker removed the victim's pants; she woke up startled, regained composure, fought back by gouging his eyes, and grabbed a charging iPad whose screen lit up from an incoming message, illuminating the attacker's face. He panicked and fled, grabbing and putting on the victim's short pajama bottoms by mistake, leaving his boxer shorts behind. The victim recognized the attacker clearly because the iPad light shone on his face — he was a former neighbor, 'Nai Boy' (pseudonym). She urged police to track him down and prosecute.
Mrs. Lek stated she normally lives with her daughter and young grandchildren, five females total. On the night of the incident (October 17), she was alone because her daughter had taken the grandchildren to stay at her son-in-law's house. Around 3:00 a.m. on October 18, she awoke to feel someone on top of her. Initially thinking it was her new husband who had returned that evening, she asked how he got in since she hadn't opened the door and he had no key. The man replied, 'Where did the kids all go?' She realized it was an intruder because the voice wasn't her husband's. 'I composed myself and resisted with all my strength, but my pants were pulled off and the attacker removed his own pants too. During the struggle, my charging iPad screen lit up from a message, revealing the attacker's face clearly — it was 'Nai Boy,' the neighbor.
When the attacker realized he'd been seen, he hurriedly put on pants and fled. Checking afterward, the attacker's underwear was on the floor while her pants were gone — likely he grabbed them by mistake. Also found: the window bars had been pried off and a sharp knife lay nearby, believed brought by the attacker to cut the bars and climb in.'
Mrs. Lek added that on the morning of October 18 she filed a report at Bang Phli Police Station. Police sent her for a medical exam and took a preliminary statement, but because 'Nai Boy' remains at large and her house contains only women and children, she feared for their safety and sought help from the Pavena Foundation to pursue the case to the fullest.
After receiving the case, Mrs. Pavena Hongsakul coordinated with Pol. Lt. Pairojn Phetphloi of Bang Phli Police Station, Samut Prakan, and assigned foundation staff to accompany Mrs. Lek to give additional statements to investigators, gather evidence and witnesses, and urgently track down the perpetrator for legal prosecution. The Pavena Foundation will closely monitor the case to ensure safety as quickly as possible.
