Pol. Lt. Gen. Noppasin Poolsawat, Deputy Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, along with Pol. Maj. Gen. Choenran Rimphadi, Assistant Deputy Commissioner; Pol. Maj. Gen. Songprod Sirisukha, Commander of Immigration Division 3; Pol. Maj. Gen. Decho Sisuwannakul, Commander of Immigration Division 5; Pol. Col. Prinya Klonkhaesorn, Deputy Commander of Immigration Division 3; and Pol. Col. Chinnawut Thangwonglae, Deputy Commander of Immigration Division 3, led an Immigration Bureau team in a joint coordination meeting with Chonburi Provincial Police, Tourist Police, local administration, and Pattaya City to elevate tourist safety measures across Pattaya and major Chonburi tourist destinations.

The operation emphasizes proactive actions, including inspections of tourist areas, entertainment venues, and accommodations; verification of foreign nationals' legal status; surveillance of suspicious persons; and monitoring of groups potentially involved in criminal activity to prevent tourist zones from becoming hideouts or criminal bases. Officials will also leverage technology and AI, such as facial recognition systems, to screen and track individuals with outstanding warrants, while integrating inter-unit data to expedite investigations and arrests.

These measures follow government and Royal Thai Police policy to intensify the suppression of transnational crime while fostering safety and confidence for tourists. Pol. Lt. Gen. Noppasin and Pol. Maj. Gen. Songprod instructed accelerated investigations, arrests, and deportation of foreigners violating laws, in line with the Immigration Bureau's four pillars: proactive security, intelligence-led operations, network dismantling, and international-standard service. They also ordered faster processing for legitimate travelers and investors with transparency and professionalism. The public can report suspicious activity via the Immigration Bureau hotline 1178 or website www.immigration.go.th.
