Third Silk Road Fair Connects Thai Silk Producers, Consumers
The Third Silk Road fair opened at Siam Paragon in Bangkok, presided over by Agriculture Ministry advisor Thirachai Saenkaew. The event showcases Thai silk heritage, connects over 25 producer groups directly with consumers, and runs through October 26 with exhibitions, workshops, and cultural performances.
On October 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM, Thirachai Saenkaew, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, presided over the opening of the "Third Silk Road in Bangkok and Nonthaburi" event. Natthanya Kahong, Deputy Director-General of the Sericulture Department, delivered the report alongside Chanchanok Chanpheng, Deputy Director-General, department executives, Jiruth Isarangkura Na Ayutthaya, Strategic Project Executive of Siam Piwat Group, entrepreneurs, distinguished guests, media, and the public at Next Stage on the 4th floor and Living Hall on the 3rd floor of Siam Paragon, Bangkok.
This event honors Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother's royal initiative to conserve and preserve local wisdom in sericulture and Thai silk, a national cultural heritage. It aligns with promoting silkworm farming and mulberry cultivation careers and creating sustainable income for farmers. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives' key policy "Market-Led Production, Meeting Demand" and the framework "Innovative Agriculture for Sustainable Thai Farmers" drive expanded marketing channels, linking consumers directly with producers, strengthening the silk entrepreneur network, and promoting Thai silk acceptance domestically and internationally.
The Sericulture Department invites the public to view the silkworm life cycle exhibition, silk reeling, natural dyeing, and silk weaving demonstrations. Participate in workshops making crafts from silk cocoons, enjoy mini-concerts, and browse and purchase quality Thai silk directly from over 25 shops nationwide — farmers, weaving groups, and entrepreneurs — from October 22–26, 2026 at Living Hall, 3rd floor, Siam Paragon, Bangkok.
