Sisaket Ready to Host 52nd King’s Cup Football Tournament
Sisaket province announced it is fully prepared to host the 52nd King’s Cup football tournament, with teams from Thailand, Brunei, Oman and Tajikistan set to compete. The event will run from November 9 to 17, featuring upgraded stadium capacity and FIFA A‑match status. Local officials thanked supporters and urged fans to attend the historic competition.
The tournament will feature four national sides: Thailand (ranked 93rd), Oman (81st), Tajikistan (100th) and Brunei (196th). Oman and Brunei are making their debut in the King’s Cup. Matches will take place during the FIFA window from November 9 to 17, with the semifinals on November 14 and the final on November 17, sanctioned as an A‑match by FIFA. The Football Association of Thailand has organized the King’s Cup 51 times before, always drawing strong interest. Sisaket has upgraded the Koh Klang Water Stadium capacity from 15,000 to 17,000 seats. The province is famed as a sports city, home to two Thai League clubs — Sisaket United and Rassadai — and has produced many national team players such as Supachok Sarachat and Suphanat Mueanta. Officials thanked the Transport Deputy Minister Siriwong Angksakulkiat, the local sports association and all provincial agencies for their support, and invited football fans to attend the historic event.
