Yamaha unveils the NEW YAMAHA R15M special edition Monster Black, inheriting DNA from the YZR-M1 under the 'BORN TO BE ONE' concept — the ultimate sport machine in the 155cc class, limited to just 100 units nationwide.

Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. reinforces its leadership in sport motorcycle technology with the NEW YAMAHA R15M under the concept 'BORN TO BE ONE — Fast as Heart, Soaring to Be Number One.' A premium sport bike that transfers world-class racing DNA to the pinnacle of 155cc sport performance, blending iconic R-Series design with supersport-level technology and riding dynamics to deliver an exhilarating experience where rider and machine become one.

The NEW YAMAHA R15M stands out with its special Monster Black graphics in black and blue, inspired by the Yamaha YZR-M1, Yamaha's championship-winning MotoGP machine, bringing world-racing identity to a street-legal sport bike and reflecting Yamaha's unique competitive spirit. Only 100 units will be produced nationwide for enthusiasts seeking something truly distinct.

Under the 'BORN TO BE ONE' philosophy, the R15M is engineered so rider and machine respond as one in every moment — acceleration, shifting, cornering — using technology trickled down from Yamaha's flagship sport models to maximize thrill and confidence on every road.

Power comes from a 155cc 4-valve SOHC liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology, delivering seamless response across low and high RPM, mated to a 6-speed sport gearbox with Assist & Slipper Clutch to reduce rear-wheel hop during downshifts for smoother control. A Quick Shifter enables clutchless upshifts for faster, uninterrupted power delivery.

Confidence is enhanced by Traction Control System (TCS), which detects and manages rear-wheel spin when traction is lost, allowing riders to exploit the R15M's performance fully.

The chassis features upside-down telescopic front forks for superior shock absorption and handling stability, plus a silver aluminum die-cast swingarm inherited from the YAMAHA R1M for strength and visual distinction. Dual-channel ABS with front and rear disc brakes reduces lock-up risk during sudden braking, while a gold BYBRE front brake master cylinder from BREMBO boosts stopping power and premium sport appeal.

R-Series identity shines through a supersport-style front end with Full LED Twin-Eyes headlights integrating LED Daytime Running Lights and a Projector Mono Focus LED headlamp for a sharp, aggressive look. The R1-styled full digital speedometer inherits design from Yamaha's flagship supersport and includes a Track Mode for circuit riding.

CPRAM Clarifies Basil Registration Only Covers New Varieties

CPRAM has clarified that its registration of four new basil varieties (Kaew Juree 01-04) applies only to strains developed for its ready-to-eat food production and does not affect Thailand's 300-plus traditional basil varieties.
