Kamphaeng Saen erupted in gunfire as more than 30 shots were fired, resulting in the death of local figure ‘Jim’ Krangnga, aged 42. Police said the clash stemmed from a long‑standing grudge. On 20 October 2026, Pol. Lt. Col. Booncham Thiankandteth, deputy inspector of Kamphaeng Saen Police Station, Nakhon Pathom province, received a report of a seriously wounded gun‑victim on a public road in Moo 3, Huai Kwang subdistrict, Kamphaeng Saen district. After being notified, he informed his superiors and proceeded to the scene together with Pol. Col. Waran Kuldilok, deputy commander of Nakhon Pathom Provincial Police, acting as station chief, investigators from Kamphaeng Saen Police, officers from the Sukhala Hospital Foundation, and forensic officers from Unit 7.

At the scene investigators found pools of blood and more than 20 .38‑calibre shell casings, a hat and a motorcycle. The injured man was identified as Prachim, also known as Jim Krangnga, a 42‑year‑old resident of Kamphaeng Saen. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Villagers reported hearing over 30 gunshots before anyone dared to leave their homes for fear of stray bullets. After the shooting stopped they saw a white Toyota Fortuner and a white four‑door pickup truck pull up. Residents helped place the victim in a vehicle before the parties fled in different directions.

Locals initially believed that Jim had ridden out on his motorcycle, followed by a friend in a white four‑door pickup, when he confronted the occupants of the Fortuner, later identified as 42‑year‑old Moddam. The two sides then exchanged fire and fled the scene.

According to accounts, the two men had previously arranged to meet at a convenience store to discuss their dispute. When Jim saw Moddam arrive by car and noticed he was armed, he opened fire immediately and fled, prompting a chase that ended on the public road in Huai Kwang where the gunfire exchange occurred.

The reporter added that both the shooter and the deceased were known to wield influence in the Kamphaeng Saen area of Nakhon Pathom.
