The Kasetsart University Demonstration School band participated in two categories of the 7th North Eastern Winds International Festival 2026 held at Central Korat in Nakhon Ratchasima. In the Junior High School Winds – Division 1, the band KRAPHICHAN WIND ENSEMBLE, led by conductor Yanakon Lai-thong (OKUS40), won the gold medal, Best March, and Excellent Conductor awards. In the Senior & High School Winds – Division 1, the KUS Symphonic Band, conducted by Wisnu Huthoi, achieved the same three honors.

Wisnu Huthoi expressed pride, noting that the achievement marked a high point for both the small and large ensembles after intensive rehearsals during the semester break. The KUS Symphonic Band performed Rossano Galante’s “Mt. Everest” (grade 4 level) and Shin’ya Takahashi’s “March Beyond the Critical Point,” pieces that demanded technical skill and fast rhythms.

Looking ahead, Wisnu Huthoi said the band will prepare early next year to gain experience, sharpen musical abilities, and strengthen teamwork, aiming to return to the competition. The success brings pride to the Kasetsart University Demonstration School, its Center for Research and Educational Development, and Kasetsart University, highlighting the dedication of students and the support of instructors Wisnu Huthoi, Sawit Sangthong, and Sukanya Uthamonthree.
