Former MP Demands SEC Probe Bitkub Crypto-Gambling Links

Former Democrat MP Sirichok Sopha will testify before a House committee on October 22, where he plans to press the SEC to investigate whether crypto exchange Bitkub funneled funds to the gambling site Shuffle.com. He also intends to question Bhumjaithai MP Suchada Saeng-ngam and her husband over inconsistent asset declarations. Sirichok emphasized he is acting as a private citizen, not on party orders.

Former Songkhla MP Sirichok Sopha of the Democrat Party gave a phone interview on October 21 regarding the House Committee on Legal Affairs, Justice and Human Rights, chaired by party-list MP Rangsiman Rome, deputy leader of the People's Party. The committee has invited Sirichok to provide information on October 22 at 9:30 a.m. at Parliament concerning asset suspicions surrounding Bhumjaithai Party MP Suchada Saeng-ngam and her husband Taiyang Saeng-ngam.

Sirichok believes the hearing will be an opportunity to question Suchada and other agencies presenting explanations. However, he said the core issue now extends beyond the couple to Bitkub and Maxbit Digital Asset Co., Ltd., a crypto exchange. He wants facts on how much crypto money may have been used for gambling.

Sirichok plans to question relevant agencies and blockchain experts. Asked why no agency appears to be seriously investigating Bitkub and other firms suspected of links to gambling site Shuffle.com, he noted the SEC has stated it is proceeding but progress remains unclear. If the SEC appears at the committee, he will ask whether it has requested money trails from Bitkub.

On whether he will release more information on Suchada and her husband, Sirichok said he needs time to verify because her statements have been inconsistent, changing from day to day. He must examine evidence carefully since mere words can change anytime.

Asked if the Democrat Party will use his findings for a no-confidence debate, Sirichok said he does not know because he has not spoken with the party; he is investigating as a private citizen, while the party likely has its own information.

Ice Baths and Saunas: Real Benefits or Just Hype?

A new article breaks down the science behind viral wellness trends like ice baths and saunas. While ice baths are proven to help athletes recover, their physical benefits for the general public are unproven, though they may improve mental health. Saunas show broad benefits for heart health and relaxation, but both practices carry serious risks — including cold shock, dehydration, and cardiac strain — especially for people with pre-existing conditions.
