An elderly driver was released on bail after his car collided with a motorcycle ridden by a well‑known police influencer in Nonthaburi, killing the officer. Police tests found no alcohol or drugs in the driver’s system, and he faces a reckless driving charge. The authorities say they will await any compensation claims from the officer’s family.
A 70‑year‑old man who turned his car into the path of a motorcycle ridden by the popular police influencer known as “Robocop Nonthaburi” has been released on bail after a fatal collision. Police said the driver, identified only as Chamruan, was taken in for questioning and later granted bail after tests showed no alcohol or drugs in his system; he is charged with reckless driving. The Bang Si Mueang police station chief, Pol. Col. Phumisit Tangwitdecha, announced the bail on October 19, 2026. Officers inspected the gold‑colored sedan with a Bangkok license plate and found the driver’s side door dented about 10 centimeters, the side glass shattered and the windshield cracked, consistent with a heavy impact from a human body. The officer’s Honda Wave 125i motorcycle was badly damaged at the front, indicating high speed. Authorities said they will await any claims from the deceased’s family against Chamruan’s family.
