The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) leads a team of 14 Thai tourism operators to participate in ITB Asia 2026 in Singapore, opening a B2B business negotiation stage to tap into the quality tourist market from the Asia region.
Today (21 October 2026), the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) sets a strategy to penetrate the Singaporean tourist market, leading a delegation of 14 Thai operators to join the sales promotion event International Tourism Borse (ITB) Asia 2026, held from 21-23 October 2026 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. TAT Deputy Governor for Asia and South Pacific Markets Kittipong Praphatthong presided over the booth opening ceremony, accompanied by Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore Chalathee Chanratchakul and TAT executives. The move aims to stimulate the short-haul market, maintain the existing tourist base, expand opportunities to reach new tourist segments, and elevate Thailand's image as a world-class tourism destination.
Kittipong Praphatthong, TAT Deputy Governor for Asia and South Pacific Markets, said TAT sets marketing guidelines for the ASEAN, South Asia, and South Pacific regions under the "4 NEWs" concept, focusing on expanding new tourist segments (Focus New Segmentation), particularly the Singapore market which has high potential and purchasing power. Participation in ITB Asia 2026 in Singapore is therefore a key opportunity to expand business partner networks and strengthen the competitiveness of the Thai tourism industry. TAT has participated continuously for the 19th time, bringing 14 Thai tourism operators to negotiate business and present tourism products and services to buyers from around the world. Emphasis is placed on selecting operators with potential and operating according to sustainable tourism guidelines, including operators in the CF Hotels and TAT STAR projects, alongside presenting the Thailand pavilion under the concept "Thai Sanctuary: The Layer of Well-Being" conveying Thai identity in a new dimension through wellness tourism and valuable travel experiences to meet the behavior and interests of global tourists. TAT expects no fewer than 266 business appointments during the event, which will help stimulate travel by Singaporean tourists in the year-end period, especially the Christmas and New Year festivals when Singaporeans prefer to travel, as well as expand opportunities to attract tourists from other markets in the ASEAN region to visit Thailand more.
For this participation in ITB Asia 2026, TAT aims to present the potential of Thai tourism products and services that meet the needs of quality tourists, especially health and wellness tourism, coupled with promoting responsible tourism towards society and the environment. This is done by bringing 14 Thai operators to participate in sales promotion and business negotiation activities, including: Jurassic World: The Experience Bangkok (Bangkok), Go Thailand Tours Co., Ltd. (Bangkok), Barcelo Coconut Island Phuket (Phuket), Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit (Bangkok), Mai Resorts Group (Phang Nga), Panan Krabi Resort (Krabi), Rama Gardens Hotel Bangkok (Bangkok), Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok Co., Ltd (Bangkok), Sofitel Krabi (Krabi).
