Police Reject Pa Da's Delay Bid, Order Nov 2 Prosecutor Meeting
Khon Kaen police have rejected a request by "Pa Da" and her associates to delay forwarding their case to prosecutors until December, instead ordering them to appear on November 2. The charges stem from an August 10 incident where the group blocked access to Wat Pa Adulyaram, with Pa Da facing serious allegations including lèse-majesté. All nine suspects have denied the charges and reported voluntarily to investigators.
Pa Da requested that police delay sending the case to prosecutors until December. The Mueang Khon Kaen Police Chief rejected the prolonged timeline, allowing only 15 days and ordering the suspects to meet prosecutors on November 2.
At 9:00 PM on October 21, 2026, reporters noted that Ananchai Chaidech posted on Facebook about progress in the case involving Chomanee Noichan, known as "Pa Da," and associates. The post read: "Breaking! Pa Da and group ask police to delay forwarding case to prosecutors tomorrow, to December 3. Mueang Khon Kaen chief says too long, gives 15 days, must meet prosecutors by November 2! Why not as capable as during the press conference?"
Reporters added the case stemmed from Pa Da and her group blocking entry and exit to Wat Pa Adulyaram on August 10, 2026, before investigators pursued charges and questioned nine involved parties, all of whom denied the allegations.
Pa Da faces charges of joint trespassing, robbery, intimidation, and Article 112 (lèse-majesté), while Bua Kai is charged with false reporting.
Police stated at the time that no arrests were made nor bail required, as the accused reported to investigators per summons. Police would gather evidence and witnesses to complete the inquiry before bringing the accused with the case file to prosecutors per procedure, originally set for October 22, 2026.
