AIS unveiled the fourth annual Thailand Cyber Wellness Index 2026, based on a survey of 77,492 people across the country. The index measures seven dimensions of digital wellness, including usage, skills, communication, identity, safety, cyberbullying, and digital relationships. Overall digital wellness rose from 0.51 in 2023 to 0.724 in 2026, moving the nation into an intermediate level, while the digital literacy sub‑score remained lower at 0.653, highlighting a gap in critical thinking and fact‑checking. The report outlines five digital situations that differ by age group, showing that children, youth, working adults, and seniors face distinct risks and behaviors. AIS executive Sai Chon Supak Udom said the results signal progress but stress that merely using technology fluently does not guarantee awareness of online risks. She added that Thailand must shift from simply getting people online to cultivating citizens who can think critically, verify information, stay safe, and act responsibly in an era of AI, information overload, and cyber threats. To address these needs, AIS will use the data to design age‑appropriate learning programmes such as the Digital Health Check, the Cyber Heart curriculum, AI literacy modules, and partnerships with various sectors, aiming for sustainable and safe digital growth for all Thais.
