SME CG and GO Wholesale Cut Small Business Debt Up to 50%
Thailand's SME Credit Guarantee Corporation (SME CG) and Central Retail's GO WHOLESALE have renewed their partnership to help micro-retailers and food-stall operators access credit and restructure debt. The program offers principal reductions of up to 50%, seven-year repayment terms, 500-baht minimum installments, and zero-percent interest for borrowers whose claims have been paid by SME CG. Advisory booths will tour three GO WHOLESALE branches in Greater Bangkok from October to November 2026.
The Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Corporation (SME CG) is partnering with GO WHOLESALE for a second consecutive year under the "SME CG Ready to Guarantee, Ready to Help" campaign, building on its successful launch in late 2024. The collaboration aims to assist SMEs in two areas: supporting access to credit through SME CG's guarantee mechanism and helping borrowers whose claims have been paid by SME CG restructure their debt and return to normal borrower status. By combining SME CG's guarantee expertise and financial advisory with GO WHOLESALE's business network, the program seeks to give restaurants, food stalls, and small retailers working capital to sustain and grow their businesses. An AI business assistant called "AI Nok Krasip" on the "Thung Ngern" app also analyzes sales data, customer behavior, costs, and business trends to help entrepreneurs plan and decide more effectively. SME CG continues its "Help Think, Help Solve, Help Finish" approach, with expert teams advising entrepreneurs seeking liquidity loans or debt restructuring. The "3 Checks, 2 Recommends, 3 Helps" activity covers financial health checks, preliminary credit analysis, credit bureau checks, and a community market fair for SMEs to sell products. In 2026, SME CG will set up advisory booths at three GO WHOLESALE branches: Srinakarin (Oct 22-25), Charoen Rat (Nov 13-15), and Ramkhamhaeng (Nov 20-22). A key highlight is the "SME CG Ready to Help" measure for borrowers with paid claims, offering principal reduction up to 50%, repayment extension up to seven years, minimum installment of 500 baht, zero-percent interest, and principal-first repayment to ease debt burden and help entrepreneurs survive and resume normal repayments. SME CG Executive Director Sittikorn Direksunthorn and Central Food Wholesale CEO Ricardo Biatoro signed the MOU, accompanied by a financial literacy stage on loans and guarantees led by SME CG Deputy Managing Director Wutthiphan Preeidiphan and the GO WHOLESALE team at the Srinakarin branch on October 22, 2026.
