October 20, 2026 – Progress update: Thanabodi, aged 24, was shot dead in front of a factory in the Factoryland Industrial Estate, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, at 8:00 PM on October 19. He was riding a motorcycle waiting to pick up his girlfriend after work. The perpetrator is Wathanyu, aka 'Tai', aged 38, the woman's ex-boyfriend. He used a handgun to fire three shots at Thanabodi before fleeing on a motorcycle.
At 7:30 PM, a joint investigation team from Wang Noi Police Station, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Police, Ang Thong Provincial Police, and Mueang Ang Thong Police Station tracked and apprehended Wathanyu at a rental room near the Chedi of Wat Sam Pluem, Phai Ling Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District.
