To support Thailand's dental public health mission on National Dental Public Health Day, Gulf Development PCL, represented by Sitman Rattanawadee, Executive Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, donated a minibus and a van worth 4.5 million baht to Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Dentistry. Dean Dr. Porchai Jansisyanont accepted the vehicles on October 21, 2026, at the faculty in Bangkok. The donation aims to support education, mobile dental unit deployments, and the faculty's public service activities.
Additionally, Gulf and the Faculty of Dentistry jointly launched a mobile dental service unit under the 'GULF Sparks Smiles Brings Bright Smiles to Communities Year 6' project for the fourth and final time in 2026, the largest event of the year. Held at the Faculty of Dentistry in Bangkok, it attracted significant public interest with 1,350 participants, exceeding the target of 1,086.
Sitman Rattanawadee stated: "I believe good oral health is a small starting point that allows everyone to enjoy food, have good health, and confident smiles for a happy, quality life — benefiting oneself, family, and society. Gulf has partnered with the Faculty of Dentistry to continue the 'GULF Sparks Smiles' project to raise awareness and improve access to dental care for Thais, both in convenience and cost reduction. In Year 6 (2026), the project conducted four mobile units across four areas, serving 2,800 Thais with 3,800 treatments. Over six years, the project has provided dental care to 9,300 Thais with 13,800 treatments." "Gulf thanks the Faculty of Dentistry for being a continuous, long-term partner in 'GULF Sparks Smiles' and for valuing dental personnel development. We support the minibus and van not just as transport, but as tools to help produce future dentists and support mobile dental units and other public benefit activities."
Dean Dr. Porchai Jansisyanont said: "Thank you to Gulf for supporting both vehicles, enabling the Faculty of Dentistry to efficiently manage teaching, research, and social service — such as transporting dentists and staff for mobile dental services, which occur nearly 20 times a year, including four with Gulf annually. This increases long-term public access to dental services. The collaboration has continued since the COVID-19 pandemic for six full years. The project's core is promoting correct dental care access alongside oral health education so everyone can maintain dental health daily."
