Thai Chamber Alumni Host Successful 50th Anniversary Charity Concert
The Thai Chamber of Commerce University Alumni Association celebrated its 50th anniversary with a successful charity concert in Bangkok. The event drew former students from all generations, sponsors, and honored guests, and featured performances by three bands. Proceeds will be donated to hospitals lacking medical equipment.
The president of the Thai Chamber of Commerce University Alumni Association, Chaiya Tabtipwatthana, announced that the charity concert held on the evening of 17 October to mark the 50th anniversary of the association's founding was a great success. Many alumni, supporting companies, and honored guests attended, including Pakorn Malakul na Ayutthaya, Mom Rajawong Jiracam Kitiyakara, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanawat Phlwichai, president of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, who delegated Asst. Prof. Somphong Kaewcharoenphaisal to represent him due to his commitments in Malaysia. Three bands—Trio Khannom Wan, Sin Charoen Brothers, and The Palace—performed to create a joyful atmosphere, with guests singing and dancing throughout the event. Chaiya explained that the association, established in 2519 as the Alumni Association of the College of Commerce, has grown alongside the university, serving as a hub for generations of graduates who have contributed to the economy, society, and nation. He added that proceeds from the concert, after expenses, will be donated to hospitals lacking medical equipment. The association regularly organizes seminars on finance and accounting, training programs for Thai-Middle Eastern business leaders, and business and commerce courses, while also promoting Thai arts and culture through adapted traditional performances at the Army Club. Looking ahead, the association plans to continue beneficial activities for members and society, such as AI-in-business training. Former association president Banjerd Chareyanutakit praised the event for giving alumni a chance to reunite, while advisor Lertsak Thai-sunwanvarakul called it a proud moment reflecting fifty years of steady growth and the current president's dedication.
