Ten Hag Rules Out Dutch National Team Job
Erik ten Hag has ruled out becoming the Netherlands manager, saying he wants to stay at Twente for two more years following Ronald Koeman's departure from the Dutch national team.
Dutch manager Erik ten Hag has announced he is not interested in taking over the Netherlands national team following the team's recent parting ways with Ronald Koeman. The Netherlands separated from Koeman after their elimination in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Several managers have been mentioned as potential candidates for the Dutch team, including Erik ten Hag, the former Manchester United manager. However, ten Hag, who currently serves as technical director at Twente, has responded to the speculation, saying: "I'm not ready yet, and I remain committed to this step." He continued: "I plan to continue working here for another two years. I like it here, and I want to help the club move forward." Besides ten Hag, another name in contention for the Dutch national team job is Arne Slot, the former Liverpool manager who is currently unemployed.
