On July 9, 2569, investigative officers arrested one suspect in Phayao province in connection with delivering heroin to a man named Udom. The suspect, initially identified as Ekwithai, allegedly packed heroin into an elephant-patterned fabric bag and delivered it to Udom. Udom then traveled by tour bus to Ayutthaya province, where he arranged for a black sedan to transport the drug-filled bag to Mina, an air hostess, with an additional bag delivered to Soi Sua Yai Udon in Bangkok. Financial investigations revealed two transfers totaling one million baht to Udom's wife's account—200,000 baht in the first transfer and 800,000 baht in the second. Authorities also discovered that Udom traveled from Ayutthaya to Phayao, renting accommodation near a transport station for approximately three days before renting a motorcycle to smuggle drugs back.
