DSI Investigates Shuffle.com Gambling Site, Summons Witnesses
Thailand's Department of Special Investigation is probing the Shuffle.com online gambling platform for potential violations of the Computer Crime Act. DSI has questioned the husband of a Bhumjaithai Party MP and a former Democrat MP, while also coordinating with crypto exchange Bitkub, which flagged over 100 million baht in transactions linked to the site. Investigators are working to determine whether Thai nationals used the platform for gambling and whether cryptocurrency flows constitute illegal betting activity.
On October 23, 2026, the Department of Special Investigation's Technology and Information Division launched case number 148/2026 into the Shuffle.com online gambling platform. The site operates as an online casino and sports betting platform that accepts digital assets through a foreign-registered entity, potentially violating the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 and possibly involving other forms of technology crime.
DSI has summoned several individuals for questioning, including Taiyang Sang, husband of Bhumjaithai Party MP Suchada Sang from Chaiyaphum, and Sirichok Sopa, a former Democrat Party MP from Songkhla. Investigators have already interviewed both witnesses and are analyzing financial transactions and timelines, particularly cryptocurrency flows.
Rangsiman Rome, a Move Forward Party list MP and deputy party leader, was also summoned but requested a postponement due to parliamentary commitments. DSI is rescheduling his interview.
During a House committee hearing on legal affairs, justice, and human rights, representatives from the Bitkub digital asset exchange disclosed they had identified transactions linked to six blockchain addresses connected to Shuffle.com, totaling over 100 million baht and involving 49 customers. Most transactions involved cryptocurrency. DSI is coordinating with Bitkub to determine whether these funds connect to bank accounts and were used for gambling on Shuffle.com, noting that some transactions may represent ordinary crypto trading rather than betting activity. Investigators emphasized they have not yet concluded all 49 cases involve gambling and must verify evidence thoroughly.
DSI officers have also accessed the Shuffle.com website directly to examine its features and confirm it functions solely as a gambling platform.
