Channel One31 is preparing to launch the new drama 'Hom Rak Ban Thung,' bringing together Poy Chalawit and Pingping Nicha for the first time. The series, adapted from Phansiri's novel 'Krabu Sue Rak,' follows the warm relationship between humans and a buffalo. Poy plays Dinthong, a devoted disciple of the late father, while Pingping portrays Euaim, the eldest daughter who returns to Ayutthaya after her father's sudden death leaves the family with a massive debt.
To solve their financial crisis, Euaim sells 'Hom Thong,' a prize-winning buffalo champion, to Sia An, owner of the 'Chok Charoen Suk' farm in Uthai Thani. However, she soon witnesses her younger brother Ob's deep bond with the animal and regrets her decision. She attempts to buy Hom Thong back, but Sia An doubles the price and gives her six months to raise the money.
Determined, Euaim asks Dinthong to teach her buffalo farming while seeking income through beauty buffalo competitions. As she learns the animals' intelligence and value, she dreams of opening a buffalo conservation center per her father's wish. Yet obstacles mount: family conflicts with her mother Saing and sister Orn, plus Sia An's scheming to prevent her from reclaiming Hom Thong.
The heartwarming tale of human-buffalo relationships airs Monday through Thursday at 8:00 PM, premiering Thursday, October 22, on Channel One31, with catch-up available on the oneD app.
